A 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted by four unidentified men in Faridabad, police confirmed on Tuesday.
According to officials, the minor, a Class 8 student, was reportedly kidnapped around 7 pm on October 26 from the Sector 18 market and held hostage in a car until around 4 am the next day. The accused allegedly dropped her near her residence before fleeing the location.
The girl’s elder sister lodged a complaint after the victim failed to return home that evening and efforts to trace her yielded no results. Based on the complaint, police registered a case at the Faridabad Old Police Station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Station House Officer Vishnu Mittar stated that the survivor is not yet in a condition to give her formal statement. “An investigation is ongoing, and CCTV footage from cameras installed near Sector 18 market is being reviewed. The accused will be arrested soon,” he said.
