Madhya Pradesh Chief Justice Inaugurates New Family Courts, Judicial Housing & Child-Friendly Courtroom

Bhopal, April 5: Chief Justice SK Kait of the Madhya Pradesh High Court emphasized that real progress in the justice system is not just about laws and judgments, but about the ease with which people can access and receive justice.

The Chief Justice made this remark while virtually inaugurating new family court buildings in Jhabua and Balaghat districts. The event also marked the launch of housing facilities for judicial officers in Budhar (Shahdol), Rajendragram (Anuppur), Shajapur, Kolaras (Shivpuri) and a child-friendly courtroom in Manawar (Dhar district).

New Family Courts for Faster Justice in Domestic Disputes

Chief Justice Kait highlighted that the new family court buildings will significantly improve the legal infrastructure for handling domestic disputes.

Dedicated Courtrooms for hearings
Filing Sections to streamline case submissions
Counseling Rooms for dispute resolution
Crèche Facility to assist families with children
Essential Amenities to enhance judicial efficiency

He noted that the courts would create a structured, accessible, and efficient environment for families seeking legal redress.

Child-Friendly Courtroom to Support Young Victims

A child-friendly courtroom in Manawar, Dhar district, has also been inaugurated to provide a safe and supportive space for young victims and witnesses.

Judicial Housing to Enhance Work Efficiency

Chief Justice Kait also unveiled residential complexes for judicial officers across multiple districts. The housing facilities aim to provide well-equipped, comfortable accommodations, allowing judicial officers to work with greater focus and efficiency.

₹24 Crore Investment in Judiciary Infrastructure

The entire project, including the family courts, housing facilities, and the child-friendly courtroom, was completed at a cost of ₹24 crore.

CJ Kait reiterated that the judiciary’s role extends beyond legal rulings—it must ensure that justice is accessible, efficient, and people-centric. The new infrastructure projects reflect a commitment to strengthening the justice delivery system in Madhya Pradesh.
