Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini unveiled a comprehensive development roadmap for the Badhra Assembly constituency in Charkhi Dadri district, announcing a slew of infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, power, education, and women empowerment initiatives during a public rally held in the village of Jhojhukalan on Wednesday.

A major highlight of his address was the announcement of a ₹3 crore project aimed at relocating high-tension electricity wires currently running dangerously over residential houses in several villages of the constituency. The entire expenditure for this vital safety measure will be borne by the state government through the Power Department. Further, the Chief Minister declared that Badhra would soon see the establishment of a new grain market, subject to land availability, while a vegetable market would be constructed in the village of Hadoa after a feasibility check.

In a key administrative move, CM Saini also promised to include Jhojhukalan village under the Mahagram Yojana to enhance its infrastructural and civic framework. He committed to completing the pending land consolidation (chakbandi) in several villages of the constituency, an issue long awaited by the farming community.

The CM announced that Badhra would be upgraded to a power sub-division, with the construction of a dedicated electricity office to be funded by another ₹3 crore. He also suggested that the local public health sub-division could soon be elevated to a full-fledged division, pending a detailed feasibility study. Addressing the long-pending demand for improved connectivity, CM Saini pledged to upgrade the Kalyana to Dadri road into a four-lane corridor, subject to feasibility clearance.

Responding to the public’s request to designate Jhojhukalan as a sub-tehsil, the Chief Minister encouraged the community to formally submit a proposal to the committee constituted by the state government. He also stated that a feasibility study would be conducted for setting up a fire station in Badhra, and that government schools in Maharana and Dhani Phogat would be upgraded to senior secondary level based on viability assessments.

Focusing on road infrastructure, CM Saini announced over ₹21 crore for the special repair of roads across the constituency. This includes the repair of 100 roads spanning 311.20 kilometers that are currently within their Defect Liability Period (DLP), ensuring they are brought up to standard by the responsible agencies. He also earmarked ₹20.40 crore for the restoration of 12 PWD-maintained roads covering 48.31 kilometers. Additionally, 13.80 kilometers of five roads under the Marketing Board will be specially repaired, alongside another 11.70 kilometers across three roads for which ₹1.19 crore was allocated.

In further commitments, the Chief Minister declared the construction of village roads with an investment of ₹5 crore, and another ₹5 crore for other developmental works in the rural areas of Badhra. He also announced plans to open an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Kari-Rupa village after examining its feasibility.

Turning to women’s welfare, CM Saini underscored his government’s flagship Ladli Laxmi Yojana and reiterated the state’s commitment to women empowerment. He noted that a provision of ₹5,000 crore has been made in the state budget to fund this scheme, under which women will soon receive ₹2,100 directly in their accounts.

The event was attended by Haryana’s Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Shruti Choudhary, Member of Parliament Chaudhary Dharambir Singh, and local legislators Umed Patwas and Sunil Sangwan, among others. The announcements made during this rally indicate the government’s focus on decentralised development and an inclusive approach toward rural upliftment in Haryana.
