In a significant breakthrough, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Fazilka have successfully foiled a major terror plot in Punjab. Acting on precise intelligence inputs, the joint team conducted a meticulously planned operation in village Theh Kalandar, Fazilka district, on the night of September 11, 2025.
Seizure Details:
- 16 pistols
- 38 magazines
- 1,847 live rounds of ammunition
- 1 motorcycle
Two smugglers, residents of villages Jhok Dipulana and Mahatam Nagar in Fazilka district, were apprehended during the operation.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the huge weapon consignment was sourced from Pakistan, intended for use by criminal gangs in the state. The arrested accused were attempting to deliver these arms to ground operatives of criminal groups at the direction of their foreign handlers.
This operation has effectively dismantled a potential threat to national security, decapitating Pakistan’s larger narco-terror plot. The BSF and CIA Fazilka’s joint efforts demonstrate their commitment to ensuring peace and security in Punjab.¹
