Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini visited Karnal’s Nehru Place on Wednesday, where shopkeepers warmly welcomed him with flower petals. During his interaction with the traders, Saini discussed the recent GST relief measures introduced by the government. The traders appreciated the move, stating that the GST exemption has benefited both customers and businesses.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he fulfills his promises. On August 15, PM Modi announced GST relief for the festive season, and within a month, the GST Council implemented the decision. The new GST rates have reduced the slabs to just two – 5% and 18% – eliminating the 12% and 28% rates.

This change has directly benefited the common man, bringing relief from inflation and joy to households during the festive season. Saini emphasized that under PM Modi’s leadership, India is rapidly progressing, and the country’s name is taken with pride globally.

The event was attended by Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand, BJP District President Praveen Lather, and other dignitaries. Saini’s interaction with traders highlighted the government’s efforts to support businesses and consumers through policy decisions like GST relief.
