Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh Visits Family of Late ASI Sandeep Kumar Lather, Announces Financial Aid

Chandigarh, — Hon’ble Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh, accompanied by his wife Smt Mitra Ghosh, visited the residence of the late ASI Sandeep Kumar Lather in Julana on Sunday to meet the bereaved family and offer his condolences.

The Governor expressed heartfelt sympathy to ASI Sandeep Kumar Lather’s mother, Smt Indravati, his wife, Smt Santosh, his son, Vihaan, and his daughter, Rupak. During the visit, the Hon’ble Governor also announced financial assistance of ₹2.5 lakh to support the education of the elder daughter of the deceased officer.

Expressing deep sorrow, Prof Ghosh said that as the head of the state, he feels profound grief over the loss of two of Haryana’s brave sons — IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar and ASI Sandeep Kumar. He added that the passing of ASI Sandeep Kumar Lather is a great loss not only to his family but also to society and the police department, which has lost a sincere, hardworking, and dedicated officer.

ADC Shri Vivek Arya, ASP Ms Sonakshi Sinha, Captain Yogesh Bairagi, and several dignitaries from the village were also present during the Governor’s visit.
