The Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, is focusing on rural development as a key priority. To enhance village infrastructure, streetlights are being installed in the 10 most populous villages of each block and all Mahagram villages, with 695 villages already benefiting from this initiative. Additionally, unpaved roads in 588 gram panchayats with a population over 1,000 have been paved at a cost of ₹237.64 crore, with more areas set to be covered soon.
Under the Chief Minister’s Farmer Field Road Scheme, 101 new roads were recently inaugurated, further improving connectivity in rural areas. The government aims to strengthen Panchayati Raj institutions, taking Haryana to new heights of progress. To boost rural life quality, 983 e-libraries have been equipped with furniture across the state, and plans are underway to install books and computers in these libraries, expanding this facility to all villages.¹ ²
The government’s efforts are geared towards making every village self-reliant and realizing the pledge of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” Health camps are being organized under the “Healthy Women – Empowered Family” campaign and the 8th Nutrition Month to encourage women to prioritize their health. By empowering women, the government believes that families, society, and the nation will become stronger.
