Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana is witnessing a significant acceleration in its developmental agenda, with recent high-powered committee meetings sanctioning over ₹1,640 crore for crucial infrastructure projects, educational advancements, and initiatives aimed at strengthening digital governance. These approvals underscore the state government’s unwavering commitment to fostering comprehensive progress and improving the quality of life for its citizens across both urban and rural landscapes.

The high-level committees, including the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC), Departmental High Powered Purchase Committee (DHPPC), and High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC), meticulously reviewed various proposals for the procurement of goods and services. A testament to the government’s judicious financial management, these deliberations also yielded substantial savings of approximately ₹61 crore through strategic rate negotiations with various bidders. This emphasis on efficiency and fiscal responsibility ensures that public funds are utilized optimally for maximum impact.

A significant portion of the approved funds is earmarked for bolstering the state’s educational infrastructure, particularly in rural areas. Recognizing the pivotal role of knowledge in societal progress, the government has sanctioned the procurement of books for newly established libraries in villages, aiming to create accessible learning environments at the grassroots level. Furthermore, a substantial investment is being made in digital education. E-libraries will soon be equipped with state-of-the-art computer systems, reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, and advanced CCTV surveillance, creating secure and technologically integrated learning spaces. To empower local administrative units and streamline public services, approximately 4,500 laptops are being acquired for Gram Sachivs and CPLOs, at an estimated cost of ₹31.5 crore, marking a significant stride towards digital transformation at the village level.

Beyond digital enhancements, physical educational infrastructure is also receiving a boost. A new government model senior secondary school is set to be constructed in Mandi Dabwali, Sirsa district, with an allocation of nearly ₹11 crore, promising modern learning facilities for students in the region. Additionally, 1,415 computers are being procured for cluster schools across the state, with an outlay of ₹6.8 crore, ensuring that more students have access to essential digital tools for their education.

Urban development and connectivity are also high on the government’s agenda. Gurugram, a burgeoning economic hub, is slated for significant upgrades. The construction of the Zila Parishad Vikas Bhawan, estimated to cost ₹61 crore, will enhance administrative efficiency in the district. Road infrastructure is receiving a major thrust with the approval for strengthening three vital road projects: the 24-km Dadri–Bond road, the 18-km Dadri–Chidya road, and the 20-km Assandh–Sirsal road. These projects, collectively valued at around ₹78 crore, are crucial for improving intra-state connectivity, facilitating smoother transportation of goods and people, and stimulating economic activity in these regions. The healthcare sector is also being strengthened, with the approval for the remaining construction work to expand Ambala Cantt’s Civil Hospital from a 100-bed facility to a 200-bed institution, promising enhanced medical services for the local populace.

These comprehensive approvals reflect the Haryana government’s holistic approach to governance, focusing on creating robust infrastructure, empowering digital initiatives, and ensuring access to quality education and healthcare across the state. The rapid clearance of these projects demonstrates a proactive stance towards fulfilling the state’s developmental aspirations and laying a strong foundation for future growth.
