THDC India Limited has achieved a landmark distinction in human capital development with its Human Resource Development Centre in Rishikesh being awarded the prestigious status of a ‘Centre of Excellence’ by SHRM India. Director (Personnel) Sh. Shallinder Singh shared that this achievement is not just a validation of infrastructure or systems but a recognition of the Centre’s cultural DNA — one rooted in inclusivity, innovation, and relentless learning. He emphasized that the learning centre is now evolving beyond traditional training roles into a strategic institution capable of driving organizational growth through cutting-edge knowledge dissemination and capacity building.

In the previous financial year, the HRD Centre generated training revenues of ₹90 lakh, attracting not just THDCIL staff but also employees from other central PSUs and private sector firms. With a goal of touching ₹2 crore in the current financial year, and with plans to attract international clients, the centre is clearly on a trajectory toward becoming a global hub of learning.
