Kurukshetra, Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini has emphasized the timely and quality construction of the Sikh Museum and Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Museum in Kurukshetra, stating that these heritage projects will play a crucial role in preserving the spiritual legacy of revered saints and sharing their life philosophies with future generations. Chairing a high-level review meeting in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister said the state is committed to creating spaces that reflect the cultural, spiritual, and historical depth of the teachings of the Sikh Gurus and Sant Guru Ravidas Ji.

During the review meeting on the progress of both museums, CM Saini directed officials to ensure that the Sikh Museum should serve as a holistic representation of Sikh history, philosophy, and contribution to the social and spiritual fabric of India. He said that the museum must include accurate documentation of every historical site in Haryana visited by the Sikh Gurus, thus offering the youth a chance to connect deeply with the teachings, courage, and sacrifices of these spiritual luminaries.

The Chief Minister further stressed that the Sikh Museum should authentically portray the historical struggles and battles fought by the Gurus against Mughal oppression in defense of dharma, justice, and human rights. These sacrifices, he said, must remain a source of eternal inspiration. To ensure academic and factual credibility, he proposed forming a specialized committee of experts—comprising renowned historians, professors from prestigious universities, and scholars from literary academies—to guide the content curation and authenticity of the museum’s exhibits.

Turning to the Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Museum, CM Saini called for its grand construction and impactful content curation that accurately encapsulates the essence of Guru Ravidas Ji’s life, spiritual wisdom, and vision of social equality. He proposed the creation of a dedicated expert panel comprising long-time researchers and scholars of Guru Ravidas Ji’s teachings to design a museum that becomes a center of spiritual awakening and social harmony.

In a significant cultural announcement, CM Saini reminded the gathering that November 2025 marks the 350th year of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, and instructed that preparations should begin immediately to commemorate this sacred occasion on a grand scale. The Chief Minister envisioned statewide celebrations including seminars, awareness yatras, and remembrance programs that would bring to light the timeless saga of sacrifice and valor embodied by Sikh Gurus, ensuring that these messages reach every segment of society.

Officials present in the meeting informed that the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has already allotted three acres for the Sikh Museum and five acres for the Guru Ravidas Museum, with administrative and constructional formalities being expedited to initiate work on the ground soon.

The review meeting was attended by senior officials including Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, CM’s Principal Secretary Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Town and Country Planning Department Apoorva Kumar Singh, Commissioner and Secretary of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department Dr. Amit Agrawal, Director General K. Makarand Pandurang, Deputy Principal Secretary to CM Yashpal Yadav, DG of Archaeology and Museums Department Amit Khatri, HSVP Chief Administrator Chandrashekhar Khare, CM’s OSD Bharat Bhushan Bharti, OSD Dr. Prabhleen Singh, and Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh, among others.

By accelerating these iconic projects, the Haryana government aims to not only preserve the sacred history of saints and gurus but also to inspire the youth to draw lessons from the spiritual and ethical richness of India’s civilizational heritage. These museums, once completed, are expected to become major centers of learning, tourism, and cultural pride for the state and the country.
