Amid rising concerns triggered by tensions in the Middle East, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has assured residents that the supply of LPG, petrol and diesel across the state remains completely normal and uninterrupted. The Chief Minister dismissed rumours about a possible fuel shortage as baseless and urged citizens not to panic or indulge in unnecessary stockpiling.
Addressing the issue, Saini held a high-level review meeting with senior officials of the Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department along with representatives from major oil companies to assess the availability of fuel and cooking gas in the state. During the meeting, oil company officials confirmed that Haryana currently has adequate reserves of petrol, diesel and LPG and that supplies are continuing smoothly without any disruption.
The Chief Minister clarified that misleading information linking fuel shortages to the evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East has no basis in reality. He emphasized that the state government is closely monitoring the situation and has ensured sufficient stock levels to meet public demand.
To maintain smooth distribution, the government has also directed oil companies to prioritize the supply of commercial LPG cylinders to essential institutions such as hospitals, educational establishments and other critical service providers. At the same time, efforts are being made to guarantee that regular domestic consumers do not face any inconvenience.
Taking a firm stand against malpractice, Saini issued clear instructions to all Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police across Haryana to take immediate and strict action against any instances of theft, black marketing or hoarding of fuel and gas. He stressed that the administration will not tolerate attempts to exploit the situation by creating artificial shortages or inflating prices.
The Chief Minister also appealed to the public to remain calm and not fall prey to rumours circulating on social media or other platforms. He urged citizens to refrain from panic buying or hoarding LPG cylinders and fuel, stating that such behaviour could unnecessarily disturb the supply chain.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Saini said the Haryana administration remains fully vigilant and is working in coordination with oil companies to ensure that the supply of domestic LPG, petrol and diesel continues without interruption. He assured that every household in the state will continue to receive essential fuel supplies without any difficulty.
The statement from the Chief Minister comes at a time when global concerns over energy supply disruptions have intensified due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. However, the Haryana government has reiterated that the state’s fuel distribution network remains stable and capable of meeting public needs.
