Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Nayab Singh Saini on Friday paid rich tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the legendary freedom fighter and founder of the Azad Hind Fauj, on the occasion of Parakram Diwas. Remembering Netaji’s unmatched contribution to India’s freedom struggle, the Chief Minister laid a wreath at his statue in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Park, Sector 3, Chandigarh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Saini said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose ignited the spirit of freedom among millions of Indians through his extraordinary courage, visionary leadership and supreme sacrifice. He remarked that the freedom and democratic values enjoyed by the nation today are the result of the relentless struggle and sacrifices made by great revolutionaries like Netaji. Describing his role in the freedom movement as historic and unforgettable, the Chief Minister said that Netaji’s patriotism and determination continue to inspire generations.
The Chief Minister noted that Netaji’s life was a powerful example of selfless service to the nation, courage in adversity and unwavering commitment to independence. He said that the ideals championed by Netaji remain relevant even today and serve as a guiding force for building a strong and self-reliant India.
Highlighting the present national scenario, Mr. Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is moving firmly on the path of national service, self-reliance and determination, principles that Netaji himself stood for. He added that India is rapidly progressing towards technological advancement, economic strength and global leadership, laying a strong foundation for a developed nation.
Calling upon the youth to draw inspiration from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Chief Minister urged them to actively participate in nation-building. He said that by adopting Netaji’s ideals of discipline, courage and dedication, the younger generation can play a decisive role in realizing the vision of India as a world leader.
On the occasion, Mr. Saini also extended warm greetings to the people of Haryana on the festival of Basant Panchami. He said that the festival symbolizes knowledge, energy and renewed consciousness, and serves as a reminder to work with commitment and sincerity towards the progress and development of the nation.
The event witnessed the presence of officials, public representatives and citizens who gathered to pay homage to one of India’s greatest freedom fighters and reaffirm their commitment to the ideals he stood for.
