In a significant move aimed at strengthening infrastructure and accelerating industrial growth, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired a meeting of the High Power Purchase Committee in Chandigarh, where a series of strategic decisions were approved to support the state’s development agenda.

One of the urgent approvals granted during the meeting was for the procurement of 41 SF-6 gas circuit breakers for 220 kV transformers, at an estimated cost of ₹918.4 lakh. This investment is set to enhance the operational efficiency of the state’s power infrastructure under Haryana Power Distribution Corporation. Officials noted that the upgraded system will play a crucial role in maintaining uninterrupted electricity supply, particularly during emergency conditions and peak demand periods, thereby improving reliability for both urban and rural consumers.

In another key decision, the committee approved the appointment of a programme management consultant to oversee the development of an Integrated Manufacturing Cluster in Hisar, along with the implementation of new planned urban settlements in the state. The initiative is expected to streamline project execution, ensure better coordination across departments, and bring global best practices into large-scale infrastructure planning.

The Integrated Manufacturing Cluster is being seen as a cornerstone of Haryana’s industrial expansion strategy. By creating a modern, well-planned industrial ecosystem, the government aims to attract fresh investments, boost manufacturing output, and generate substantial employment opportunities for the youth.

Chairing the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that such forward-looking decisions are aligned with the state’s broader vision of inclusive growth, improved public services, and robust infrastructure. He reiterated that strengthening essential services like power supply and promoting industrial development are critical to sustaining Haryana’s growth momentum.

These decisions underline the government’s continued focus on building resilient infrastructure and positioning Haryana as a competitive destination for industry and investment in the coming years.
