Preparations Reviewed for Dharamshala International Film Festival

Dharamshala (Arvind Sharma), October 1:

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Kangra, Shilpi Bekta, chaired a review meeting on Wednesday with organizers of the Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) and officials from various departments to finalize preparations for the upcoming event.

The 14th edition of the Dharamshala International Film Festival will be held from October 30 to November 2, 2025, at the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) near Dal Lake in Naddi, Upper Dharamshala. The ADM assured organizers that the district administration will extend full cooperation to ensure the festival’s success.

Bekta said the festival would not only showcase national and international cinema but also boost tourism in the region. He added that the event will offer valuable exposure to youth interested in filmmaking, with several renowned filmmakers expected to participate.

Festival manager Ritu Sareen informed that screenings will be organized across four screens to accommodate maximum audiences.The meeting was also attended by Assistant Commissioner Jagdeep Kanwar, Additional SP Aditi Singh, SDM Mohit Ratna, AGM Tourism Kailash Chandra Thakur, Festival Manager Lucy Peter, Community Manager Abhishek, along with officials from different departments
